So after 3 days of running bad HU, I was able to slow down and watch some verner videos and really start to think more about the games I was playing. I couldn’t sleep so I decided to hop on UB and see what I could do..I hoped on two tables and instantly fell behind big, i was down over a buy in on both tables..but i felt both players i was playing were not strong and rather fishy actually. Anyway this first hand is pretty standard I think…Just to note I had been waiting for this hand for about 25 mintues(me and this guy played a marathon hu)…He had been letting me run him over PF the entire match, unfortunately every big hand we got in I was up aganist it or toke some wicked beats. About mid way during the match thou he finally started to play back..3 betting my button raises…At first I let this go but after a while i noticed he had done this about 8 of the last 12ish times i’d raise the button..I tightened up a bit then and hoped to wait for a big hand hoping he’d do the same…

Althought not an overly impressive hand, it was more of a victory for me of just keeping my head and not spewing off chips by trying to 4 bet him back with a lesser hand…
The other table I was aganist a much different player..a complete calling station, after running into some big hands early aganist him that allowed him to take about a buy in off of me i stuck with it and starting chipping him down…Question on this hand-Do you think my check on the flop is bad and should i have raised the turn?

After inflicting one more hand on him to almost even our stacks(when he played 9’s passively and terrible) the big hand of the match came up…like I said I really felt like he was a complete calling station and the kind of player that if i could just flop something when he flopped something mediocre i could win a big big pot, which this hand fully represents.. I felt like my shove was alright here, althought I could have easily been behind I felt there was a strong chance i was ahead plus I had a wicked draw..

I can’t seem to find one main hand I wanted to discuss…I had what I felt was a really big calling station(the kind of guy who can’t fold a big hand ever) he was at about 80 bbs i believe…He limped I checked with J7o…Clearly dream flop J77(two clubs)..He checked I checked(so pot still only a dollar)..turn was the 8 of clubs certainly a good card for me to possibly have him completing a draw He bet a dollar and I opted to just call rather than possibly chase him out…river was 9 of spades and he instantly bet 3 into a 4 dollar pot ..now at this point a 10 would have made him a straight, he also could have a flush or even the other 7…I really felt he did infact have a 10 and there was no way he was folding it so i just shoved over 100bbs into a 7 dollar pot, sure enough he tanked it for about 10 seconds and called with 65 for a sucker straight…Just wondering how often this kind of shove works in a spot like that and would a more apprioate value bet be better a majority of the time?
